A new chairperson for the Working Breakfast networking group, based in Market Harborough, has been announced this week. Alastair Campbell, MD of the Ideal Marketing Company will take over the position for the next six months with immediate effect.
As one of the founding members of the Working Breakfast business group in Leicester, Alastair also helped to start up its sister group in Market Harborough almost four years ago. The group meets every Wednesday morning at the Angel Hotel on the Harborough High Street. Each week members get the chance to give a one minute presentation, asking for help for any aspect of their business. Since its formation in 2010 this has resulted in over 8,000 leads and has generated an estimated £650,000 worth of new business for the group.
“It is a pleasure to take over from Chris Williams as the new chair who has done such a great job over the past 6 months. Working Breakfast plays a vital role in supporting local businesses and local causes” comments Alastair. He also adds that, “Working Breakfast is different to many breakfast clubs because it is entirely not for profit and is run and organised completely by its members for the benefit of its members.”
The group currently has 20 active members who attend every week. Working Breakfast Harborough was formed by local business owners in 2010 with the purpose of passing new business leads. Any proceeds generated by the group fund local projects to support start-up companies, charities and for further networking events for the local business community.
Working Breakfast welcomes new members; the first visit is free and includes a cooked breakfast at The Angel hotel. Any local businesses that are interested should call 01858 44 55 43 or visit https://www.workingbreakfast.com/harborough.asp to find out more.
